Buducnost sports director Gavrilo Pajovic believes that the club will compete in EuroLeague again soon. The Montenegrin team last participated in EuroLeague in 2018-2019 after winning the 2018 ABA League title.

“It’s clear that Buducnost has a consistency of top results and the goal is to continue to grow,” Pajovic said to Sport Klub. “We also succeeded in working with our youth squads. The club’s leaders and president Dragan Bokan made the right move when they opened the Kokoti Hall which is now available to youth squads for 24 hours. In addition, the prospects are practicing at the SUdent Center and its facilities so now we can put the senior team to our own facilities. It’s one of the basic conditions for the club’s progress, it’s the basis on which we all believe that the club will play again in the elite European competition in the near future.”

Buducnost was at the second place in ABA League standings prior to the season’s suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic on March 12. The ABA champion has a priority for one of the three EuroLeague annual wild cards.
