Crvena Zvezda coach Dragan Sakota believes it’s unlikely that either the EuroLeague or the ABA League will conclude the season. Both competitions were suspended until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic on March 12.

“We aren’t very optimistic that any competition will continue. It’s clear to everyone that the4 situation isn’t easy at all. No one can say that as soon as the measures will be lifted and that when some communication between countries starts, it’ll all work out as before. God forbid if it happens like SARS,” Sakota said to Serbian TV Arena, via Sporski Zurnal.

Before the ABA suspension, Sakota’s Red Star was ahead of the playoffs and the goal of winning the back-to-back championship title. The ABA champion has a priority to be granted one of the three annual EuroLeague wild cards.
