Maccabi Tel Aviv has reportedly decided on trying to bring in Tomer Ginat once again

Maccabi Tel Aviv made a two-year offer for Hapoel Tel Aviv’s captain Tomer Ginat, according to Sport5’s Roi Cohen.

The Israeli powerhouse has been interested in Ginat in recent years but couldn’t get him on board the team. They now get another chance as the 25-year-old is expected to leave Hapoel.

Ginat is still undecided about his future and is likely to be more interested in the status, minutes of play and the importance he would have on his next team. That could prove as a challenge as Maccabi has Jake Cohen and Omri Casspi at the forward position. On the other hand, a chance at EuroLeague experience might be too tempting to say no to.

The 203 cm tall forward has been with Hapoel for the past four seasons and this past one was his best, averaging 15.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists this season.

Maccabi reacted to the reports and denied that they’ve offered the player a contract: “The news is not correct. We did not offer a contract to Tomer Ginat,” per Sport5.
