Serbia aims to host the final tournaments of both the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and the 7DAYS EuroCup, the country’s president of the republic, Aleksandar Vucic confirmed on Serbian TV. Belgrade is indeed among the main candidates for EuroLeague’s final phase alongside Athens, Cologne, and Kaunas.

“We are working with Crvena Zvezda and Partizan to host the final tournaments of EuroLeague and EuroCup,” Vucic mentioned, relays, “We could welcome about 3,000 people in Belgrade and Novi Sad, who would stay in our hotels.”

The 2019-20 campaigns of EuroLeague and EuroCup remain suspended, in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The current plans on resuming action provided health safety for everyone involved is secured include setting up final tournaments under a revised format in a single location.
