Real Madrid swingman Rudy Fernandez confirmed that Real Madrid will be resuming individual practices next week if all the coronavirus tests will undergo will come back negative.

The whole squad of Real Madrid will be tested Friday (8/5) and if all the results are negative, training sessions will begin Monday. “It takes about 48 hours to give us the results,” Rudy said in the “El Hormiguero” show while mentioning that the soccer players will get their test results back first. He also talked about how he and his teammates are waiting to practice once more.

“There’s a desire to return to action, even if it’s individually. We will have to talk to coaches and physical trainers because we will have to do a mini preseason and get in shape as soon as possible. We want to finish the league and we will need someone to pass the ball to us.”

Fernandez has been in confinement since his teammate Trey Thompkins tested positive for coronavirus. “The worst thing about confinement? She’s going to kill me, but the Tik Toks with my wife,” Rudy joked.
