A lot of players reacted to the decision to end the 2019-20 EuroLeague season and so did Tornike Shengelia. Baskonia captain thanked everybody involved in making the decision which helps the players’ mental and physical health:
“First of all we want to thank Euroleague, the clubs and everyone who was involved in making this difficult and correct decision.
We understand that it is very hard to consider many sides and opinions. In the end, unitedly, we all agreed that health is the number one priority.
As competitors we are missing the game and playing for our fans but in these extreme circumstances with the presence of the virus as well as being in confinement for two months mental and physical Health is the number one priority.”
