Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv announced on Sunday that Aaron Jackson became a free agent upon the conclusion of the contract signed by the two parties last December.

The Duquesne alumni returned to Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with the Israeli powerhouse. He since made his way to 12 games putting up 4.3 points, 1.7 assists, and 1.6 rebounds per contest up to the early conclusion of the 2019-20 season, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Per Maccabi: “The agreement between Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv and Aaron Jackson, who joined the team during the current season and helped it to cope with the many challenges, has ended. The club thanks Aaron Jackson for his time in yellow-and-blue and wishes him all the best on his next step.”

Jackson, combined with his previous stints with CSKA Moscow and Bilbao a veteran of 178 EuroLeague matches, launched his 2019-20 season in China sporting a Zhejiang Lions jersey. He went on to add Israel among his career destinations posting 7 points per Winner League game.

The Tel Aviv club is set for a summer comeback with its domestic championship resuming next week. The team coaches by Giannis Sfairopoulos sits on top of the table thanks to a 19-2 run prior to the hiatus.
