Nikos Pappas won’t continue with Panathinaikos upon the completion of his contract, team coach George Vovoras said during a press conference Friday (3/6). The Greek player is parting ways with the Greens after seven years.

Pappas joined Panathinaikos in 2013. During his run with the Greek powerhouse, he won four Greek League championship titles plus five Greek Cup trophies. He struggled with two ACL tear injuries in 2015 and 2019.

In the 10 games he played in the 2019-2020 EuroLeague, Pappas averaged 4.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 11:57 minutes. He had his most productive EuroLeague season in 2014-2015 when he posted 10.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 20:20 minutes over 22 games.

Vovoras also confirmed that guard Marcus Foster has agreed to terms with the club and that forward Ben Bentil will stay with the team.
