Barcelona has extended the contract of forward/center Pierre Oriola through 2024, the club announced.

Per Barcelona:

Pierre Oriola will be staying at Barça until 30 June 2024. Barça and the power forward/centre have reached an agreement to extend his time on the roster by a further four seasons, meaning that new coach Saras Jasikevicius will be able to benefit from a player with tremendous qualities both in defence and offence, and who always plays with every bit of his heart.

Three years at the club

Oriola came to Barça in the summer of 2017 from València Basket, where he had just won the Liga Endesa. With his new club, the Catalonia born player has won two Copas del Rey (2018 & 2019) and reached two ACB finals.

He has played 199 games in the Liga Endesa (99), Euroleague (90), Copa del Rey (7) and Endesa Super Cup (3).

This extension means that Oriola will be at the Palau Blaugrana for at least seven seasons.
