Fenerbahce Beko will be signing free-agent forward/center Danilo Barthel to a two-year contract according to Eurohoops sources. Barthel comes off a four-year stint with German side Bayern Munich.
In 2019-2020, the 28-year-old Barthel averaged 7.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 24:21 minutes over 27 EuroLeague games along with 10.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 22:48 minutes of 25 matches of the German BBL League.
Signing with Fenerbahce will bring Barthel outside of Germany for the first time in his career.
So far in offseason, Fenerbahce has added forward DyShawn Pierre and forward Edgaras Ulanovas. The Turkish powerhouse is also expected to sign center Johnathan Hamilton, per Eurohoops sources.
