Baskonia announced the addition of center Tonye Jekiri on a two-year deal. The Nigerian big man becomes the third new signing of the reigning ACB champions after forward Rokas Giedraitis and forward Alec Peters.
In 2019-2020, the 25-year-old Jekiri averaged 8.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 12.8 PIR with ASVEL Villeurbanne in his debut EuroLeague run before the suspension of the season. He was EuroLeague’s second-top rebounder and considered among the top rookies in the competition.
By joining Baskonia, Jekiri will compete in Spain for the first time in his career.
