Maccabi Tel Aviv has reached an agreement with Bursaspor guard Chris Jones according to Bein Sports’ Ismail Senol. Bursaspor will receive a buyout sum to terminate the player’s contract.

Jones signed a one-year extension with Bursaspor in June, following his first season with the team. In 2019-2020, the American player averaged 15.3 points, 6.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 34.61 minutes over 23 games of the Turkish BSL League before the championship was canceled.

If a deal between the two sides is confirmed, Jones will be making his EuroLeague debut next season.

Maccabi has had a vacant point guard spot on its roster after releasing Nate Wolters in May. The “Yellows” are currently playing in the Israeli Winner League playoffs.
