Aito Garcia Reneses will in charge of ALBA Berlin’s bench for the coming season, the team announced Friday. 73-year-old Reneses is on to his fourth season with the German club. At the same time, the club has appointed assistant coach Israel Gonzalez as the associate head coach, with a new two-year contract.
“I feel very comfortable at ALBA and identify with the program and the people involved. I’m looking forward to working with the players every day to get better and get the most out of them”, stated Reneses upon his renewal with the club.
“We are very happy that Aito will look after our team again in the coming season. With his style, his expertise and his vast experience he finds ways to make every player better. With our new signings and the remaining players, we have put together a very promising team, an important core of which has internalized our philosophy in recent years”, added ALBA sports director Himar Ojeda.
