The 2021 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four is expected to be played in Cologne, Germany. Cologne’s Lanxess Arena was scheduled to host the 2020 Final Four but the 2019-20 season ended prematurely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The last game of the previous season was contested on March 6. Euroleague Basketball initially temporally suspended action and on May 25 opted to cancel the bottom end of the campaign.

Euroleague Basketball and arena officials remained in contact throughout the summer and both want to collaborate. Everything is in place from preparations for the previous Final Four.

Still way early to determine if fans will be able to attend the Final Four but of course both sides hope that the event in May 2021 will not be held behind closed doors.

Other potential hosts like Moscow will have to wait until 2022 at least to forward their bids to host the Final Four.

The 2020-21 season is planned to start in October with the 18 teams of the previous season retaining their spots.
