After leaving Panathinaikos OPAP, Manos Papadopoulos becomes the sporting director of Zenit Saint-Petersburg. Eurohoops previously reported on his move to the Russian club.

Papadopoulos, 57, was the right-hand man of the Giannakopoulos family. His run with the Greens including various roles nearly lasted three decades.

As noted by Zenit, he has already started working for his new team ahead of the 2020-21 season. The Russian club will compete in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and the VTB United League.

In an additional note, the next chapter for Papadopoulos includes reuniting with former Panathinaikos and current Zenit head coach, Xavi Pascual.
