Zalgiris Kaunas laying out its plan for the ticket sales generates an early preview on how the Zalgirio Arena and other venues might look during the 2020-21 season with fans attending games but under certain conditions. The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participant adjusts to the limitations necessary for health safety.
Per Zalgiris: “While the coronavirus pandemic continues changing the usual rhythm of our lives, the contours of the upcoming season have become clearer. Zalgiris has begun preparations for the upcoming season and continues monitoring and reacting to the ever-changing situation concerning the safety of spectators.
It was announced that starting 1st of September, the number of spectators in events will not be limited, but it will be required to ensure a safe distance between the guests in the venue. The plan is for fans to sit in every second seat and wear a mask for the entirety of the event. Family members are not subject to the distancing requirements, but will be able to sit side by side only in twos.
The club will also take preventive measures to ensure the games commence safely. The body temperature of all arena guests, employees and players will be measured, and if it exceeds 37.3, the person will not be admitted to the arena. Disinfection stations will be installed next to each entrance, and extra markings will help control the streams of people. Before each game, all door handles and railings will be disinfected, while after the game, each seat, railings and surfaces in the arena will go through the same process.
Having taken under consideration the situation, Zalgiris has come to the decision to not have season tickets for sale this year, the main reasoning behind it being that the club would not be able to ensure that the season ticket holders’ seat would not change due to the changing conditions and requirements.
All Zalgiris fans will be able to purchase single-game tickets to the 2020-2021 season. It is planned that ticket sales will begin a couple weeks until the game date: in September, tickets will be sold for October’s games, and so on. Tickets will be available only online on the official Zalgiris Kaunas ticketing website.
Once ticket sales begin to a certain game, 2019-2020 season ticket holders (two tickets for one season ticket holder) and Zalgiris Honor Club members will have priority to purchase the tickets. A few days later, public sale will begin.
Season ticket holders who chose to receive the discount for a season ticket as a form of reimbursement for last season’s cancelled games, will receive their compensation as credit in their account, and will be able to use it for the tickets. Season ticket holders will also retain the right to their seats in the 2021-2022 season, and will receive prices respective to season ticket extension.

Ticket sale to the EuroLeague We’re Back Preseason Tour that will take place on the 12-13 of September, is set to begin at the start of September, when the safety measure concerning spectator safety will be confirmed. Season ticket holders and Zalgiris Honor Club members will also receive early ticket purchase rights to the tournament.”
