Malcolm Delaney and the other newcomers of AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milano proved that they are ready to go in the 86-82 win over Sassari in the Cagliari tournament.

Milano became the first EuroLeague team to start the preseason games and Delaney stole the show with 18 points and just two missed shots. Vladimir Micov added 11 points, Gigi Datome and Kevin Punter had 10 points, while Sergio Rodriguez and Kaleb Tarczewski added eight points each.

Miro Bilan with 18 points was the top scorer of Sassari, Serb Vasa Pusica added 17, but it was Delaney who stole the show with big plays down the stretch.

However, Punter scored the most important shot of the game which sealed the deal for Milan in the last minute.
