FC Bayern Munich GM Marko Pesic alongside Dr. Florian Kainzinger discussed the plan for fans being able to attend home games from the beginning of the 2020-21 season. The German outlet shared key points of the press conference held Friday.

“The Audi Dome is well suited to bring back fans under the current pandemic conditions,” said Kainzinger updating his belief that Bayern home games can host fans, “The risk of infection is considered very low by experts. If masks are used, I consider it absolutely feasible to bring people back with reduced risk.”

“We can reward the fans renewing their season tickets prioritizing them for these tickets,” added Pesic, “We are very happy and motivated to finally get our fans back. Getting back in touch with our fans is much more important than financial discussions. This is an important sign.”

Bayern is scheduled to face visiting AX Armani Exchange Milan in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 1 on October 2. “Our goal is to play the first EuroLeague game with a capacity of 20% at the Audi Dome,” noted Pesic, per Robert Heusel.
