Barcelona coach Sarunas Jasikevicius said that additional decisions should be made in light of EuroLeague teams being unable to register a sufficient number of players for their games due to coronavirus cases.

“It is very difficult. The Euroleague is doing it in the best way. But the situation is very difficult,” Jasikevicius said in the post-game presser after the road win of his team over Valencia. “First is the health of the fans and our health. I think we will have to do some meetings. The Euroleague is trying to hold on and hold on but in some places, the situation is out of control. I think we have to make decisions. I am missing something and we are going to see how the Euroleague solves this ”

Zenit St. Petersburg and ASVEL Villeurbanne are two teams that have so far seen their games being canceled due to not managing to register the mandatory number of eight players. Khimki Moscow, which is plagued by both injury problems and COVID-19 cases, had to incorporate players for youth teams in order to present a squad in upcoming matches.
