The latest batch of coronavirus tests at Real Madrid produced a positive result for Fabien Causeur.

In a connected development, Sunday’s ACB Regular Season Round 6 game pitting the Whites against RETAbet Bilbao was postponed pending further tests. The Spanish league will soon announce the makeup date.

Causeur, 33, has been held to a limited role by Pablo Laso this season. Two Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and three ACB appearances sum it up for the French guard so far.

It has to be noted that this is the first case of COVID which is related to Real Madrid.

However, out of the 18 EuroLeague teams so far FC Barcelona, CSKA Moscow, Khimki Moscow Region, Zenit St. Petersburg, ALBA Berlin, Zalgiris Kaunas, and ASVEL had such incidents after the start of the season, while Olympiacos, Efes, and Milan have suffered by similar issues during the pre-season, making Real Madrid the 11th team to be affected.
