Promitheas Patras announced that Lefteris Mantzoukas is leaving the team and will join Panathinaikos. The Greens also confirmed the signing with a five-year contract that includes NBA out options.

“We are proud and excited because 5.5 years ago, in the summer of 2015, we welcomed a 12-year-old child from Ioannina to the Prometheus Family and to the almost newly established standard sports scholarship program “NOUS”. After years of hard work with his coaches and fellow athletes, after endless hours of training, study and games, after a series of records in both Greek and European basketball, we are proud of a talented teenager, who spreads his wings and chases his basketball dreams,” Promitheas’ announcement said.

The 17-year-old Greek forward played nine games in EuroCup and Greek League this season with Promitheas, averaging 5.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 14 minutes.
