Crvena Zvezda returned to practice after reporting new COVID-19 cases late last week and reunited officially with head coach Dejan Radonjic after the departure of Sasa Obradovic Thursday.

50-year-old Radonjic first joined Zvezda in 2013, and spent more than four seasons there. He led the club to the 7DAYS EuroCup semifinals in 2014, the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague playoffs in 2016, and also won three Serbian League crowns, three Serbian Cups and three Adriatic League championships in his first stint with the club.

Radonjic last coached on the bench of FC Bayern Munich, where he spent almost two years, guiding Bayern to consecutive German League titles in 2018 and 2019, while leading the team to 14-16 record and a brink of a EuroLeague playoff appearance in the 2018-19 campaign. The team was 6-11 in the EuroLeague last season before two sides parted ways.
