Dragan Bender will stay in Tel Aviv at least until the end of the 2020-21 season, as Maccabi Playtica Tel Aviv has officially announced. Bender was signed initially with a short-term deal which included an extension option.
The former NBA player who is a product of Maccabi‘s junior teams returned to Europe after four unsuccessful years in the NBA, where he was picked in 2016 at the 4th spot of the NBA draft.
However, with Maccabi, he is a rotation player who is showing steady signs of improvement, averaging so far in seven EuroLeague games 5,2 ppg and 3,8 rpg.
