Stefan Jovic leaving Russia, according to Donatas Urbonas, adds on developing issues for Khimki Moscow Region. The report notes that his future with the Russian club is in doubt.

Jovic, 30, joined Khimki prior to the start of the 2019-20 season. His sixth Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign, second at his current team, includes 4.4 points, 3.8 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per appearance.

The Russian outlet coming off a transfer ban due to alleged infringement of overdue payables recently parted ways with Greg Monroe and Jonas Jerebko. Another major midseason change saw head coach Rimas Kurtinaitis dismissed.

A 2-22 record holds Khimki to the bottom of the EuroLeague standings, five wins away from the above team. A balanced yet underperforming 7-7 tally makes out the 2020-21 VTB United League run so far.
