Baskonia crushed Olympiacos 91 – 66 to register its fifth straight victory in EuroLeague while forcing its opponents to a modern EuroLeague era record of seven consecutive defeats. While the playoffs race is still on for the Basque side, the Reds dropped 13th.

Luca Vildoza led an impressive Baskonia offense with 19 point, eight assists plus four steals. Rokas Giedraitis contributed 18 points, scoring 11 of them in the second period as his team bounced back from a 15-21 deficit to dominate and close the first half up 43 -32.

Baskonia established a double-digit lead in the third period and proceeded to completely outplay its opponents in the fourth quarter as the margin reached blowout proportions. Dusko Ivanovic’s players completed the game with 27 assists and a highly efficient 21-30 2-pointers.

Livio Jean-Charles scored 15 points, Octavius Ellis had 12 points and nine rebounds and Shaq McKissic 10 points for Olympiacos that shot the ball poorly from the perimeter (4-27). Kostas Koufos had five points on 2-3 shots in 11:35 minutes of his  debut with the Reds.
