A member of Zalgiris Kaunas’ coaching staff was found positive for coronavirus, as it was officially announced.
Per club announcement: “A positive case of COVID-19 virus has been detected in Zalgiris Kaunas. After feeling unwell, one of the coaches was tested on Wednesday and his test came back positive.
All other members of the coaching staff and players tested negative on Wednesday.
All the green-and-whites were tested before Tuesday’s EuroLeague game against ASVEL, and that time all the tests showed no signs of the disease.
According to the EuroLeague guidelines, Zalgiris members who receive two negative test answers in 48 hours, can continue preparations for the upcoming game. Zalgiris is set to take on AX Armani Exchange in Zalgirio Arena this Friday evening”
