Alba Berlin swingman Marcus Eriksson was named MVP of the double-game in EuroLeague. It’s the first weekly MVP award in the player’s career.

Eriksson capped this week’s games with a career-night of 36 points and 10 3-pointers in a win of his team over Alba Berlin.

Per EuroLeague Basketball:

Marcus Eriksson was on fire as ALBA Berlin downed Khimki Moscow Region 81-100 in their Round 28 clash on Friday, not only tying the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague record with 10 made triples, but also earning the MVP of the Week honor. Eriksson scored a career-high and ALBA club-record 36 points, knocking down 10 of 13 three-point shots and 1 of 3 two-pointers. He also collected 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and had 3 drawn fouls for a performance index rating of 41, another career-best for his first weekly MVP award. The second-best performance this week belonged to Jan Vesely, who flirted with a triple-double while leading Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul to a 92-100 road win in a highly entertaining Round 27 game at Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan. Vesely collected 13 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high 8 assists for a performance index rating of 35. Next, with a PIR of 31, was Khimki’s Jordan Mickey, who collected 29 points plus 9 rebounds and 2 steals in a Round 28 loss against ALBA. Completing the list of top performers this week was Vasilije Micic of Anadolu Efes Istanbul, who accumulated a PIR of 29 in his team’s resounding 100-70 win over CSKA Moscow in Round 28, collecting 21 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
