Ioannis Papapetrou will have a challenge against Anadolu Efes but may be proven to be a “steal” in EuroLeague Fantasy.

Although Panathinaikos Athens is facing Anadolu Efes – a.k.a. the hottest team in EuroLeague right now –  we are going with Greens captain Ioannis Papapetrou for a number of reasons.

Papapetrou played well and a lot (an average of 32.4 minutes) in two consecutive EuroLeague games and had a really good performance in a Greek League win vs. Peristeri. So he will stay in the court for a long period of time and has a given potential of producing.

In the win of Panathinaikos vs. Maccabi, Papapetrou scored 20 points and got five rebounds (with 13 PIR due to some missed shots) while finishing with 14 points and four assists (20 PIR) in the loss to Crvena Zvezda. He will be a focal point in the match vs. Efes with multiple roles on the floor.

If Papapetrou delivers a sufficient amount of PIR points, then he will also be a Fantasy bargain since he costs just 1.25 credits. This may be enough to motivate you to pick him for your Fantasy team.

He also provides a flexible pick since he can fill any of your forward positions, giving you room for additional choices in the other “F” spot.
