Zalgiris Kaunas forward Augustine Rubit tested positive for coronavirus, the club announced. Rubit was tested after feeling ill and it was found out that he’s positive for COVID-19.

Per Zalgiris:

A positive case of COVID-19 was found in the Zalgiris line-up this evening. After Thursday’s EuroLeague game, the green-and-whites had a day off on Friday. Zalgiris big man Augustine Rubit felt ill and had a test done, which came out positive.

The entire Zalgiris team will be additionally tested, but it is already clear that Sunday’s Betsafe-LKL game against CBet Prienai will be postponed, with the new date to be announced soon.

After receiving two consecutive negative tests, the rest of the team will continue preparations for Tuesday’s EuroLeague face-off against ALBA Berlin.
