Jan Vesely is still recovering from injury and while it’s still a question of whether he can join Fenerbahce immediately, he is sure to join the team for Game 3 of the EuroLeague playoff series against CSKA

Fenerbahce BEKO has been announcing the increasing number of COVID-19 cases among team members during the past week and while the names weren’t revealed yet, their lineup for the EuroLeague series against CSKA might end up being quite short-handed.

Another reason would be the injuries that happened prior to the coronavirus positives including Jan Vesely who’s been a key player for Igor Kokoskov’s team this year.

While it’s not certain whether Vesely will be able to play in the first two games that are scheduled in Moscow, board member (responsible for basketball operations) Sertac Komsuoglu noted that he will most likely be ready for Game 3 in Istanbul.

“We will check his status before the flight to Moscow. He will either come with us or stay in Istanbul, continue to work. But I can say, if nothing goes wrong, Vesely will join us in the third game of the series. I can’t speak certain about the Moscow trip. Our staff will check and decide if he is ready or not,” Komsuoglu said.
