CSKA Moscow guard Iffe Lundberg had to leave Saturday’s VTB League game against Nizhny Novgorod early, after losing consciousness on the court.

Lundberg was immediately admitted to the hospital, where, after the necessary checks, he was cleared of any possible causes for the incident. The Danish player had to stay hospitalized overnight on Saturday, to make sure there was no underlying issue, as he explained.

“I felt bad when I entered the court. I feel better now compared to how I felt. I got a little scared when I was in such a situation, but all the tests and examinations show that I am completely fine and there are no injuries in some places. I am intact, so to speak. So everything’s okay. But I had to leave the match and the arena. I was driven to the hospital and had to be here overnight so they could make sure everything is well in the process”, Lundberg told TV 2 SPORT.

CSKA managed to edge Nizhny on Saturday, to advance to the VTB League semifinals.
