Berlin is expected to host the 2022 edition of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four, according to Donatas Urbonas.
However, there is no finalized deal yet, according to Eurohoops sources. That’s why the announcement was not made during the Final Four held at Cologne.
Berlin has previously hosted the Final Four in 2009 and 2016. The capital and largest city of Germany can become the first with three events of the modern era under its belt.
Canceling the 2019-20 season due to the coronavirus pandemic moved the Final Four plans at Cologne from 2020 to 2021. The 2021 tournament was completed on Sunday with Anadolu Efes crowned champion for the first time in team history.
Health and safety restrictions prevented fans from attending this season’s Final Four.
