Johannes Voigtmann stays with CSKA for two more years.

CSKA Moscow forward/center Johannes Voigtmann signed a new two-year contract with the team, the Russian club announcd.

“We believe our cooperation with Jojo, we believe that he has a lot of room to improve his game,” CSKA coach Dimitris Itoudis said, per the club. “With oru team, he took part in the Final Four for the first time, won the VTB League and the Russian championship. He’s well motivated, knows the game very well, can play in several positions as forward and center, has the ability to ‘stretch’ the defense. He has already made progress in teh game and I’m sure he will able to add in many aspects of offense and defense. We are happy that he’ll stay with us for another two years.”

Voigtmann, 28, finished 2020-21 with 9.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 20.3 minutes in all competitions with CSKA. He was named MVP of VTB League for March.
