CSKA Moscow announced Monday that Ivan Ukhov inked a new contract to remain with the team. The 25-year-old guard signed a 2+1 contract.

“It is a great honor and great responsibility to be part of CSKA,” he said, per the press release, “I know that I have not yet reached my full potential, and I am ready to work to reach a new level. I am grateful to the club and coaching staff for the opportunity to prove myself and help the team fight for titles.”

“In three years with us, Vanya achieved a lot, he became EuroLeague champions, won other titles. But most importantly, he is a player whose progress on the court is obvious,” added CSKA boss Dimitris Itoudis, “He is ready to put limitless hours to improve, to open up every side of his talent. Whenever he gets minutes on the floor, he earns every second. This was a special year for Vanya and he showed the highest professionalism. I wish him to stay healthy and continue to grow together with the team.”

He is coming off his third Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign packing an improved role. His efforts helping CSKA advance to the Final Four once again were highlighted by 2.2 points, 0.8 assists, and 0.8 rebounds per appearance.

The former Parma player also averaged 6.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per VTB United League contest. The 2017 VTB Best Young Player landed his second championship in the process.
