Unics Kazan has officially appointed Velimir Perasovic as the team’s new head coach. The Croatian coach is back in EuroLeague for the first time since 2019 and his third stint with Baskonia.

Back in 2014, Perasovic had his crowning moment so far in his coaching career against Unics, when he led Valencia to the EuroCup title past the Russian side in the Finals. Apart from Valencia and Baskonia, he has also been head coach of such teams as Anadolu Efes, Cibona and Estudiantes.

Perasovic, a three-time EuroLeague champion as player with legendary Jugoplastica, has also won the Spanish Cup and Supercup in 2006, the 2009 and 2010 Croatian League  and 2009 Cup with Cibona plus the 2010 Turkish Cup with Efes.
