Panathinaikos presented their offer and Hezonja would have to pay the buyout to Barcelona from his own pocket

Mario Hezonja made his return to Europe last season with Panathinaikos and the club would like to keep the Croatian going forward as well.

The Greens put on the table a two-year deal worth two million euros total, however, in order to complete the deal, Barcelona would have to get compensated with a buyout since the Spanish club holds Hezonja rights in Europe.

The buyout is worth 400,000 euros and the money would have to be covered from the player’s own pocket if he wishes to join Panathinaikos, for which he openly expressed his desire.

Hezonja logged 26 games last season for PAO in EuroLeague and the Greek league. He averaged 14.4 points across eight games in the European competition.
