Fenerbahce Beko handed head coaching responsibilities to Sasha Djordjevic, the team announced Saturday. Djordjevic inked a three-year contract.

Djordjevic, 53, comes in to replace Igor Kokoskov. The departing Serbian mastermind recently left his position to become an assistant under Jason Kidd at the Dallas Mavericks.

The new Fener boss is coming off a two-year tenure at Virtus Segafredo Bologna. He had led his side to its first Italian championship in twenty years.

The former player started his coaching career in 2007 at Olimpia Milano. He went on joining Benetton Treviso, Panathinaikos, and FC Bayern Munich, before his stint at Bologna. He also guided the Serbian national team from 2013 to 2019.
