Baskonia got a morale boost ahead of the new season with an emphatic 101-56 victory against Romanian CSU Sibiu to complete its preseason preparation. It was a special occasion for the club, as fans returned to the Fernando Buesa Arena for the first time in 555 days.
Steven Enoch (16 points and 5 rebounds), Vanja Marinkovic (14 points), Landry Nnoko (13 points and 3 rebounds), Simone Fontecchio (13 points and 8 rebounds), Wade Baldwin (12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists) and Jayson Granger (8 points and 6 assists) were on the spotlight for Dusko Ivanovic’s squad, leading the team to victory. Adding to their efforts, Rokas Giedraitis also contributed 15 points.
Baskonia completed its preseason and will face Valencia Basket on the road for their Liga Endesa opener on Saturday.
