Leandro Bolmaro has parted ways with Barcelona and is moving to the Minnesota Timberwolves

FC Barcelona and shooting guard Leandro Bolmaro have reached an agreement to terminate their binding contract after the Argentinian player activated the clause on his contract that was valid until 2023, the team informed Wednesday.

As previously reported, Bolmaro is moving to the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 2021-22 campaign. The 20-year-old guard was selected with the 23rd pick at the 2020 NBA draft by the New York Knicks, though his rights were traded to the Wolves.

Bolmaro has spent the last three seasons with Barcelona and posted an average of  2.9 points, 1.3 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 10 minutes across 30 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games in the 2020-21 campaign. His numbers went up to 6.5 points, 1.8 assists and 1.3 rebounds per contest in the Spanish Liga Endesa across 33 games.
