Panathinaikos got past Partizan after overtime and will, in the Final, face Efes which was convincing against Ulm

The third edition of the Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament tipped off with Panathinaikos and Anadolu Efes getting through to the Final after beating Partizan and Ulm respectively.

PAO managed to bounce back from a 17-point deficit at halftime (48-31) against Partizan and eventually got the better of the opponent in overtime for an 89-85 win.

Ioannis Papapetrou was excellent for the victors with 20 points while Kendrick Perry followed with 15, as did Jeremy Evans.

For Partizan, Zach LeDay logged 17 and Yam Madar 15 points.

Meanwhile, Efes was convincing against Ulm with 88-69 on the scoreboard led by Rodrigue Beaubois who banked in 22 points on 5-7 shooting from deep. Filip Petrusev followed with 17 while Vasilije Micic scored 12 points.

For Ulm, Jaron Blossomgame and Thomas Klepeisz scored 11 points each.

On another front, Olympiacos competed in the Greek Cup, beating Kolossos 94-67 and advancing to the Top 16.

Sasha Vezenkov led the way with 16 in addition to Livio Jean-Charles’s 15 and Giannoulis Larentzakis’s ten points. Vezenkov also grabbed ten rebounds.

For Kolossos, Kenny Williams scored 16 and Blaz Mesicek 14 points.
