Panathinaikos prevailed over Anadolu Efes to lift the 2021 Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament trophy

Panathinaikos outlasted reigning EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes 80-74 to lift the trophy of the third Pavlos Giannakoulos Tournament hosted by the Greens in Athens.

Daryl Macon and Jehyve Floyd powered the hosts in this victory with 12 and 10 points respectively, while Nemanja Nedovic posted 9 points.

Rodrigue Beaubois and Vasilije Micic posted 17 points each for Ergin Ataman’s squad and Bugrahan Tuncer followed with 11 points.

Earlier in the day, ratiopharm Ulm defeated Partizan 94-84 to win the third place in the tournament. The German side stayed in control for the entirety of the game, led behind a 20-point performance by Jason Blossomgame.

Semaj Christon added 16 points for Ulm and youngster Fedor Zugic tapped 11.

Aleksa Avramovic had a game-high for Partizan with 21 points, Balsa Koprivica followed with 14 points, Uros Trivunovic had 13 points and Rodions Kurucs added 11.
