Euroleague sanctions Panathinaikos and Maccabi for Round 2

Panathinaikos and Maccabi were fined 5,000 and 1,500 euros respectively

Euroleague Basketball announced the sanctions for Round 2 of the season and they were given to two clubs, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos OPAP, both pertaining to the fan behavior.

Per Euroleague Basketball:

Euroleague Basketball has announced the following disciplinary sanction pertaining to incidents that occurred in Round 2 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season.

Maccabi Playtika Tel-Aviv has been sanctioned with a fine of €1,500 for the throwing of objects on to the playing court on occasion of its home game against Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade under Article 29.2.h) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.

Panathinaikos OPAP Athens has been sanctioned with a fine of €5,000 for the lighting of flares inside the arena on occasion of its home game against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul under Article 29.2.e) of the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
