EuroLeague is reaching out to its USA audience and brings the full experience with the broadcast of selected games through Facebook this October and November.
Users will be able to stream the selected games through the respective online events created by EuroLeague on the platform with the purchase of an online ticket (all-access, one-time payment).
Per EuroLeague Basketball:
Euroleague Basketball and Facebook have joined forces to offer basketball fans in the USA the opportunity to watch the premier basketball competition in Europe live. EuroLeague joins other top sports leagues and competitions offering the Paid Online Events feature.
The Paid Online Events feature enables businesses, creators and organizations to earn money from live online broadcasts on Facebook by charging people a fee for access.
The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague will broadcast a game per Round in the U.S. on Facebook via Paid Online Events, enabling the league to reach new audiences in America and open up a new revenue stream.
Fans can purchase access to all broadcasts via the league’s Facebook Page with a one-time payment. The games will feature the league’s most compelling match-ups and players, many of whom are recognizable for U.S. fans. More than 25% of the league’s players are American, including former NBA standouts Kenneth Faried, Derrick Williams and Shane Larkin. The league also features top prospects such as Victor Wembanyama and Filip Petrusev, while some of the current NBA stars like Luka Doncic, Ricky Rubio or Bogdan Bogdanovic started their careers on Europe´s premier basketball competition.
