Dyshawn Pierre will remain sidelined with the groin injury suffered last week and miss the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 8 game against CSKA Moscow in Russia, Fenerbahce Beko announced Wednesday.

Pierre, 27, picked up the injury during the Round 7 meeting with Olympiacos in Greece. He also missed the BSL Regular Season Round 6 home fixture opposite Gaziantep on Sunday, but his side managed to snap a four-game losing streak across all competitions. Fener improved to 5-1 to share the lead in the domestic league standings with Pinar Karsiyaka.

The Canadian forward had appeared in all seven EuroLeague games so far, earning six starts under head coach Sasha Djordjevic. He averaged 7.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.7 blocks per contest with Fener being limited to a 2-5 W-L record. He also logged 9.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.3 blocks per BSL match.

German forward/center Danilo Barthel will remain sidelined as well. Despite recently resuming basketball-related workouts for the first time following the arthroscopic knee surgery in October, he has not been cleared to return to action.

CSKA, coming off a couple of losses in France last week and falling to 4-3 in EuroLeague, was also defeated by Kalev/Cramo in VTB United League Regular Season action on Sunday. On the plus side, Tornike Shengelia suited up after missing three weeks due to the right shoulder injury, initially projected to keep him out for at least two months. However, Nikola Milutinov (knee) and Marius Grigonis (back) are still out.
