LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne is making a push in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague this season, though fans residing in France did not have previous live access to important games for TJ Parker’s squad, besides euroleague.tv.

The French television rights paradox seems to finally come to a solution, as EuroLeague Basketball announced a new partnership with L’Equipe TV, which has obtained the rights to broadcast select EuroLeague games in France throughout the 2021-22 season, including a minimum of one regular-season game per week, plus playoffs and the 2022 Final Four games.

Per EuroLeague Basketball:

L’Equipe Group, a name that is synonymous with French sports excellence, has obtained the rights to broadcast a selection of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games during the rest of the 2021-22 season.

Starting in Round 11 with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne – FC Barcelona, L’Equipe will air a minimum of one regular-season game per round plus playoffs and Final Four games.

In each round, one EuroLeague game will be streamed live on L’Equipe.fr while selected games will also be aired on L’Equipe TV, the media group’s linear channel. The package includes games of LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, France’s flagship team in the EuroLeague, as well as other top teams in the competition.

All French fans will now have the possibility to enjoy, on a free-to-air basis, select LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne games, as well as those featuring French stars on other teams in Europe’s premier basketball competition.

Among the home-grown stars that French fans can expect to see each round are Rodrigue Beaubois and Adrien Moerman, defending EuroLeague champions with Anadolu Efes Istanbul; Nando De Colo, a two-time EuroLeague champion and 2016 Final Four MVP, with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul; Livio Jean-Charles and Yousoupha Fall of Olympiacos Piraeus; and the Real Madrid quartet of Fabien Causeur, Thomas Heurtel, Vincent Poirier and Guerschon Yabusele.

L’Equipe joins a stable of broadcasters offering French fans the best in European basketball. The Olympique Lyonnais OTT platform OLPAY broadcasts all LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne games in the French territory. Monaco TV – the public television of the Principality of Monaco – airs all AS Monaco games and EuroLeague.TV, the league’s official OTT platform, offers all Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup games, now also available for both Apple TV, Android TV and arriving to Samsung TV in the next weeks.
