After Darrun Hilliard suffered a knee injury, Bayern Munich went to the market in order to find some help during his absence and decided on adding KC Rivers, according to Eurohoops’ Aris Barkas. The player signed and the official announcement is expected soon.

Hilliard will be re-evaluated after two weeks and it remains to be seen if Rivers, who signed a four-month deal, will extend until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old last played for Zenit Saint Petersburg in the 2020-21 season, averaging 6.1 points on 35% three-point shooting and 2.5 rebounds in 22 minutes over 37 Euroleague games.

KC Rivers is set to return to Bayern for which he played back in the first half of the 2015-16 season. A year earlier, he won the Euroleague title with Real Madrid, the only in his 12-year-long career.

Among the teams he played for are also Lokomotiv Kuban, Khimki, Panathinaikos, Crvena Zvezda, and Zalgiris.
