Guerschon Yabusele is considered questionable to play against ALBA Berlin Tuesday, Real Madrid head coach Pablo Laso said Monday.

Yabusele, 25, missed the ACB Regular Season Round 13 home fixture opposite Unicaja Malaga on Sunday. The medical exams did not reveal a serious injury. However, he will be a game-time decision against the German team.

“We are going to wait until the last minute to make a decision. It’s clear we are not prepared to take a risk,” noted Laso, “If it was up to him, he would have played on Sunday.”

Trey Thompkins, Carlos Alocen, and Alberto Abalde will remain sidelined through the next double-game week of the 2021-22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season. The Whites will visit AX Armani Exchange Milan Thursday, a couple of days following the visit of the team based in Berlin at WiZink Center.

The French big man, a former player of the Boston Celtics, has quickly evolved to a key part of Madrid since joining the storied club in July. He has put up 12.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per EuroLeague contest as a starter in all 14 games so far. At the domestic level, he has 11.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and one steal per ACB game.

Real Madrid currently ranks second in the EuroLeague with the 11-3 W-L tally trailing only the 12-2 record of archrival FC Barcelona. ALBA, sitting at 5-9, is tied for 13th, while Olimpia Milano is tied for third carrying a 9-5 record.
