ALBA Berlin got the job done by getting the 92-84 win over Monaco, which lost more ground in the playoffs race as the two teams are now tied at 6-11 and the 14th position.

Ben Lammers with 18 points was the top scorer of the winning side, but it was Maodo Lo (12 p. 5 as.), Marcus Erikkson (15 p.), and Luke Sikma (8 p. 8 r. 7 as. 2 st.) who sealed the deal in the end for the Germans.

“Part of our philosophy is to play full effort, 40 minutes, and play like a team, sharing the ball, passing, moving. That is our goal in the EuroLeague, try to do it better every time, and hopefully, the results come as well”, said ALBA coach Israel Gonzalez.

ALBA got the lead in the second quarter and kept it until the last, leading even by 13 (74-61) after 31 minutes of action.

However, Monaco reacted with a solid 13-2 run to make it a two-point game (76-74). Still, that was the best the guest could do.

The hosts kept the lead with Yovel Zoosman making a key three (81-75) and Lo adding two crucial buckets plus one free throw (86-78).

“I think the key of the game is that we were able to stick together at that moment, even when they made their runs, and in the end, we managed to get a win”, added Erikkson.

Mike James tried his best with 25 points and eight assists, while Donatas Motiejunas scored 23 points.
