Barcelona announced Saturday (1/1) that head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, center Brandon Davies and guard Nicolas Laprovittola tested positive for coronavirus. These positive tests increased the number of total COVID-19 cases on the Blaugrana to nine.

As a result, the ACB postponed the Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid that was scheduled to be played Sunday (2/1). Real had also undergone a COVID-19 crisis with ten players and head coach Pablo Laso testing positive.

After the latest development on Barca, it is unlikely that the team will travel to Russia for the EuroLeague match vs. CSKA Moscow Friday (7/1).
