Players Thomas Heurtel, Fabien Causeur, Vincent Poirier, Guerschon Yabusele, Anthony Randolph, and Juan Nunez along with head coach Pablo Laso were on hand in the latest Real Madrid practice.

The six players and the experienced tactician were cleared from the COVID-19 health and safety protocols. The remaining players affected by COVID-19, captain Sergio Llull, Jeffery Taylor, Carlos Alocen, and Adam Hanga are still in quarantine.

The Whites last played on December 23 and actually defeated CSKA Moscow at home despite extremely limited options available for the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Regular Season Round 17 fixture. The Round 18 visit at Fenerbahce Beko was postponed and rescheduled for February 8.

Domestically, the ACB Regular Season Round 16 clash opposite archrival FC Barcelona initially scheduled to be held today, Sunday, has been suspended.

Laso’s team currently stands second in EuroLeague at 14-3, half a game behind Barca’s 15-3. However, it leads the ACB standings carrying a 13-1 W-L tally compared to the 11-2 record of the team guided by Sarunas Jasikevicius.

ASVEL vs. Bayern set for January 25

Besides Madrid’s trip to Istanbul, Euroleague Basketball rescheduled the Round 18 meeting between LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and FC Bayern Munich on January 25, as announced Sunday.

Other suspended games previously rescheduled feature AX Armani Exchange Milan hosting ALBA Berlin and visiting Zalgiris Kaunas. They have been set to take place on January 18 and February 8, respectively.

Olympiacos taking on CSKA Moscow and Panathinaikos OPAP facing Zalgiris in Greece have yet to receive a new date.
